(Beaumont, Texas) - Updated statement from CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System on services:

CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth hospital:
Our CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth hospital Emergency Department is open and fully operational. However, visitors need to be aware that procedures for accessing the emergency room have temporarily changed. Emergency Department patients will now enter the hospital through the MAIN entrance on Calder Ave. This will also serve as the entrance for Emergency Department patients transported to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth by EMT personnel. Triage for emergency room patients is taking place in the main lobby at CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth hospital.

At this time, we continue to perform only emergency surgeries today through the weekend. We have begun discharging patients to their homes, if safe, or to established shelters as appropriate.

Beginning Monday, September 23, 2019 we plan to resume performing scheduled surgeries and procedures. Those patients who have scheduled procedures should access Patient Registration at the main entrance of the hospital on Calder Ave.
