(Beaumont, Texas) - Updated statement from CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System on services for Thursday, September 19, 2019:

Most access ways to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth and other Beaumont CHRISTUS facilities are now open. As such, we are beginning to stand up additional services that were previously cancelled earlier today.

Below are the details we can share at this time:

CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth hospital:
Patients scheduled for surgery or procedures at CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth tomorrow will be rescheduled. At this time, we continue to perform only emergency surgeries.

Our CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth hospital Emergency Department remains open and is once again fully operational. However, due to flooding in the immediate area, visitors will need to adjust their routes to access the Emergency Department and follow different processes for accessing emergency care.Triage for emergency room patients is taking place in the main lobby at CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth hospital. Please use the front, MAIN entrance on Calder Street to enter.

If approaching Southbound from Silsbee/Lumberton:

  • Take 69/96 to IH-10 East, exit MLK, turn RIGHT on Calder and approach the FRONT side of CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth hospital.

If approaching Westbound from Orange:

  • IH-10 West from Orange west of 1442 is open to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth. IH-10 to the Downtown exit to Calder is also open. Use FRONT entrance of hospital.

If approaching Northbound from Mid County:

  • Highway 69/96 is open. If the Calder exit is still closed, take the Delaware exit and turn right on 11th Street. Turn Right onto Calder and use FRONT entrance of hospital.

Beaumont Bone and Joint Institute:
Beginning at 9:00 a.m., Friday, the Beaumont Bone and Joint Institute will reopen for physician clinic and physical therapy, while surgeries will continue to be rescheduled for a later date. Patients scheduled for surgery tomorrow will be contacted individually to make further arrangements.

CHRISTUS St. Mary Outpatient Center Mid County:
CHRISTUS St. Mary Outpatient Center Emergency department is open and available to all patients. Imaging, Therapy Services, and Women’s Center will all be open tomorrow for normal business. Wound Care and Hyperbaric services will be closed and unavailable.

CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial hospital:
CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial hospital remains open and available to the community at this time.
